Looking for the best jewelry and fashion accessories that you can actually afford? You need to shop Bizou right now.
There used to be a brick-and-mortar location in Toronto, but thankfully the online store keeps me on trend and on point with their fabulous, affordable jewelry, purses, watches (my gold piece always gets compliments, and many folks mistake it for more expensive designers) and tech gear.
You can also narrow down your most desirable - is it rose gold? Serious glam? Ooh, how about the sheer fantasy of Grey Gardens? There's even a gift shop to help you choose the perfect item.
Their new arrivals alone are dope. I mean, this beanie. Am I right? And how cool is this watch? These cozy slippers make a fabulous gift. As does this chic rose gold ring. And for all the cat-lovers on your list this year, this iPad case will deliver all the feline feels of the season.
Thanks to Bizou's sensational - and affordable - new essentials, I am all set for the season. Take a look:
- Grey & Black Handbag
A convertible purse is a lifesaver. Now that life is so busy, who has time to change purses with every outfit and occasion? This beauty can be worn cross body (with adjustable strap), over the shoulder or carried in hand. Now that I have the option, I tend to use all three - cross body when I'm running errands and heading to the market; over my shoulder while traveling and in hand on more formal occasions, date night and work functions.
The mix of wool and pebbly black matte makes it both standout (because who needs another all black purse?) and work with every wardrobe choice (some of my coats require using only specific colours - now I can use this with my dusty rose leather jack to my navy trench with black leather patches).
The size is also what makes it so enviable. As much as I'd like to carry a small bag, since I walk everywhere and use transit, I need something to carry what I need from early morning to late night. That means my reporter's notebook, long wallet, tablet, and endless items I'll collect throughout the day.
But it's not too big that it becomes a burden to carry, setting a deep ridge in my shoulders, or awkward to carry on crowded subways and streetcars. I need to be nimble and lithe throughout my work day as I travel around to various locations.
Two zippers - sweet - with nice long pulls make it easy to access the contents even my hands are full. And two side pockets and a zippered pocket at the back ensure my keys, lipstick and other can't-live-withouts are always within reach.
In other words, it's perfect.
In my move towards minimalist jewelry, I have always longed for a simple gold bar. It gives you a glimpse of gold without being showy, the bar keeps it modern and streamlined, it can look casual or dressy, depending on what you paint it with, and it goes with everything. It really is an everyday necklace that can be worn morning to night.
What makes this one unique is:
- The delicate chain (41 cm) is threaded along to top of the bar (5.5 cm), giving it a wonderful icicle edge
- The brilliant folks at Bizou have included three clasps so that you can customize the length each time. Those deep-v dresses? Check. High necked blouse? Yup. Everything in between? You betcha.
And thanks to the stainless steel material, while it looks like gold, it's durable and hypoallergenic, making it safe for everyone.
It's no wonder I've worn it every day for weeks.
It's hard to find a cool phone case that isn't expensive. Bizou however, has an amazing array of awesome cases that you can buy without wincing at the price tag. In fact, they're so reasonable you can get a few and switch them out when you feel like a chance.
You may sneer at the idea of winter, but I don't mind it one bit. It's a great time of year to try out new recipes, delve into thick tomes and go for romantic walks in the snow. The holidays gives me the chance to spend time with family and friends, reflect on the year's adventures, and look forward to what's to come. It's a time of celebration and gratitude. That's why I am smitten with the completely adorbs and wonderful reminder, "Let It Snow" case.
