PearlBar - Mind-Blowing Eco Toothbrushes Also Whiten Your Teeth

I always look for toothpastes that whiten, but it never occurred to me that my toothbrush was capable of such a feat.

Well they aren't actually, except for hero product PearlBar.

This awe-inspiring product from Australia is more than just a toothbrush. It's a game changer. Here's why:

- 100% biodegradable

Buying plastic brushes is a guilt-ridden trip that I just don't want to take anymore.

The biodegradable handle is crafted from bamboo,  an environmentally sustainable wood source, and an amazing material - it naturally regenerates and is free of pesticides. And the brushes are made from eco-enhanced nylon. Even the packaging is decomposable.

So when you're finished with your brush, go ahead and toss it in the garden. Let nature do its thing.

- Charcoal clean

The recent rise in popularity of charcoal products from shampoo to facial cleansers, toothpastes to water filters, proves the power of this natural ingredient.

A natural antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral agent, PearlBar extolls its virtues even further - "It detoxifies and deodorizes your mouth, balancing PH levels while absorbing odour."

Wow. Your drugstore tooth polisher isn't doing all that.

The brush's black bristles, boosted with activated charcoal, actually work on stain-causing toxins, absorb chlorine, and basically give your mouth the healthy makeover you've been waiting for your entire life.

And then it goes and whitens your teeth on top of it.

I noticed the difference after the first time I used my PearlBar toothbrush. My teeth were noticeably whiter. By the end of the week, I had news anchor/HD TV ready-teeth.

- For grownups and wee ones

The adult version comes in soft and medium. I like a lot of firmness in everything from my mattress to my toothbrush, so I appreciate there being another option than soft. Medium also works as a fantastic gum massager.

I am not normally a big brush my teeth enthusiast, but I find myself brushing all the time now, thanks to PearlBar. It's one of the most enjoyable, comfortable brushes I've ever had. And the black bristles are kind of badass.

Kids get their own size, also available in soft and medium.

- There's more

PearlBar products (there's also floss picks) are also Fair Traded, vegan, and FDA approved.

And in case that's not enough, 10 percent of their proceeds get donated to charity.
