A Wild Soap Bar - Natural Soaps Handmade with Wild-Crafted & Organically Grown Botanicals

For over 20 years, the Hanus family of A Wild Soap Bar (Soap Bartender Maggie, along with Mike, Jory and Cristina) has been making truly natural soaps and body care products, handmade with real ingredients that are "safe for all living things and a joy to use while raising awareness of the many benefits of using responsibly wild-crafted and organically grown botanicals."

The range of products includes soaps - organic bar soaps (with over 20 varieties of natural soaps available), castile liquid soaps, and even one for your teeth: tooth savior soap - organic balms & oilstimber & coal for men and gifts & accessories. Every member of the family is included, thanks to their handmade dog shampoo that contains only the safest ingredients.

I got a chance to try their three of their organic soaps all crafted by hand:

This best seller brings the seaside home with it's phenomenally fresh coastal scent, yet it looks just like the beach with it's sand-coloured base topped with large pink Himalayan sea salt, resembling stones washed up on shore and delicate pieces of seaglass.

Packed with minerals, a gentle exfoliator and essential oils, this amazing bar gives your skin a much-needed renewal and do-over thanks to pumice, sea clay, and sea kelp. And rich nourishment is delivered via  premium saponified vegetable oils (organic extra virgin olive, organic coconut, sustainable organic palm, organic sunflower, organic castor), distilled water and essential oils (orange, palmarosa, lemon, rose geranium, cedarwood, cassia, and vetiver.
Even hours after I've used it, my skin feels incredible. Like brand new. It's like a complete spa treatment wrapped up in a convenient bar. Sigh.

The zesty new scent (recently revised) is a sure way to get your day off to a great start. Also a great idea - keep one in the kitchen to use after mincing garlic, onions, etc.

This lavish bar comes with the addition of calcium bentonite clay (Living Clay), making it a detoxifier and healer all in one (this clay will transform your skin!).

This amber-coloured bar is topped with scattered organic sunflower petals, apparently something that the Aztecs couldn't get enough of and now I can see why.

Perhaps like me, you've been told that it's the chemicals in soap that cause a lather. Well, I am here to dispel that myth because I got a nice thick lather from this soap. And my skin afterwards? As soft and smooth as silk.

This bar is so rich with healthy, beneficial ingredients - a variety of oils, distilled water, that clay I was telling you about, a lime blend of essential oils, organic sunflowers, sea salt, and cosmetic grade earth pigment - you'll never go back to ol' drugstore soap again.

This "soap-pourri" is a colourful bouquet of a fragrant organic soaps ribboned throughout the bar. Along with goats milk, organic shea butter, aloe and oats, and cosmetic grade earth clays - which you know is a dream skincare collection - you get a burst of fragrance from wild and organic botanicals along with some fabulous essential oils.

The result is a bar overflowing with goodness and heart, and a beguiling scent to boot.

These soaps are made with real ingredients that do your body and soul good. The fragrances fill the room, yet never overpower it. They are made with love and intention. You can see it in the bars themselves, in the ingredients and packaging. And you can feel it in your now clean, clear, smooth, soft skin. That drugstore bar you're using doesn't even come close.

A Wild Soap Bar's handmade natural products are biodegradable, cruelty free, minimally packaged with recycled & recyclable materials, and do not contain synthetic fragrance oils or other harmful chemicals. In fact, 100% of their base oils are certified organic. The sustainable organic palm oil they use from Columbia is RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified, as well as Rainforest Alliance certified.

And as if that weren't enough, one percent of their profits are donated each year to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and to Clean the World. They  also have a Kiva micro-lending group - wild about good - where all profits from 100% Real Castile Soap are donated.
