February 7th marks Chinese New Year this year, when the New Moon appears and 15 days later becomes a Full Moon.The Chinese New Year is a time of celebration, reflection and thanksgiving and whether you are Chinese or not, I think it is a great way to stay with feelings of rejuvenation, strength and renewal after the festivities of January 1st.
DESIGN NIGHT designers Dominic D'Andrea and Tram Pham, who live and work in Portland, Oregon created a magical money envelope for 2008: Year of the Rat. The LiXi Gift Envelope is intricately laser cut (inspired by the papercuts of China), trimmed and lined in gold. It is the most beautiful card of this kind I’ve ever seen and surprisingly sturdy for such a delicate little thing.
