Miks Letterpress + - It's in the Cards

Summer is the busiest time for celebrations. Most weddings take place during theses warm months and thanks to the ahem, colder temps, it turns out there a ton of birthdays - including new babies - taking place. Between these, new jobs and opportunities, the need for great cards is at an all-time high.

So it was great relief when I found Miks Letterpress + online.

Mariko Iwata creates wedding stationery and greeting cards with a vintage Heidelberg windmill machine (She also does business cards and variety of gifts, and carries unique sets of vintage stamps).

Her minimalist, modern designs paired with clever one-liners were ideal for my current crop of card needers. Zooming in for the close-up:

My friend Linsay is getting married to a young, kind fella this summer. She's an exuberant gal who recently redesigned their condo with contemporary furnishings and whose iPhone cover is soft teal. Could the best choice ever card (pictured above) BE more perfect?

Imma be broke this summer just from all the birthdaze. At least I'll have the best cards for each celebrant:

Stock up on the Again? and Boom. cards - they work for just about everyone, from colleagues and relatives to your squad.

No doubt you know a woman with a cat - or three. Which is why you should get hey cat lady in bulk. 'Nuff said.

Another brilliant choice (above) - "As lnog as the frsit and lsat ltetres are crercot you can raed my msasege. Just wnat to say hpapy brtihady you aeswmoe metohr fekcur." Smart and funny, What's not to seriously love?

There are a ton more to choose from: BabyBook CardBridesmaidCongratulationsDinner PartyFeel BetterFriend, GoodbyeHolidayLoveMazel TovSympathy and Thank You.

Some of my favourites:

- Love is forever (Deepest Sympathy)

Miks Letterpress + Greeting Cards are printed in the U.S., size A2 (4.25" x 5.5"), and come in a variety of colours on 100% cotton paper with good heft and a smooth finish. And that gold lettering? Oomph. Paired with an envelope (in various shades) and sealed in plastic, the quality is unbelievable. Go ahead and be a recessionista = no one will ever be the wiser.

It is incredibly difficult to find cards that are just the right amount of care and wit, never mind with superior craftsmanship. So shop Miks Letterpress + now (Etsy) and you'll never have to scramble to find the perfect design or sentiment again.
