Healthy snacking is difficult, especially when you're in between places and you need something in a rush. It's a challenge in that you don't always want to be dragging an insulated lunch tote with you or you don't always have time in the morning to be chopping up fruit and veg before rushing out the door.
As someone who's trying to cut out all the bad stuff, even grabbing a protein or granola bar these days can be a whole procedure - you have to really read the ingredients because what seems healthy often isn't.
That's why I'm grateful to have discovered Crunchies Freeze-Dried Natural Snacks.
The only ingredient is the fruit or vegetable indicated on the package. That's it - no added salt, sugar, fat... just the good stuff. And because the fruit or veg has been freeze-dried so that all its water has been removed, you're left with the pure veg or fruit with the added bonus of a satisfying crunchy texture.
Take Crunchies Freeze-Dried Mango, for instance. I love mango, but it's incredibly messy to carry around and slice on the go. I used to get these dried slices from the bulk store, but they were covered in sugar and probably a lot of other stuff I don't need. This allows me to crunch away on mango while I'm working away at my desk or walking from one meeting to another one, without having mango juice running down my arms or chin. It's the more graceful way to eat your fruit and veg, if you ask me. Other fruit varieties include Freeze-Dried Strawberries, Freeze-Dried Pineapple, Freeze-Dried Blueberries, as well as a variety of blends and organic versions.
If you love corn and popcorn like I do, a healthy alternative is Crunchies Freeze-Dried Corn varieties. And there are wonderful veggies to choose from as well.
Whether you're trying to pack a nutritious lunch for the kids, snack better at work or before your workout, Crunchies are amazing. They are light and small enough that you can tuck them into your purse or jacket pocket. Oh, and in case that's enough to entice you, they are raw, gluten free and non-GMO. Uh huh. They are amazing.
