Get Back to Nature with Toockies Handmade Eco Cloths for Kitchen & Bath

Are you all about getting back to basics? Are you seeking natural, homemade products that last? Do you want to purchase items that not only help you, but aid others?

Toockies are this and so much more.

These amazing handmade 100% certified organic cotton or jute cloths, gloves, trivets, coasters & pot holders were inspired by Toockie, a relative of owner Anna Marie Stauss, who made cloths like these for her as well as others. Anna says, "I quickly become dependent on them to clean my home, kids, car and anything else that needed a scrub."

Anna found a way to keep this amazing craftsmanship going by having the cloths hand-knit by women in Nababpur, India.

"In Nababpur, 210 women desperate for a dignified way to earn a living, are mobilized and trained to knit Toockies. A community center is setup for these women as a central location for them to come train, knit, pick-up yarn, and drop off finished Toockies. Most knitters work from home, allowing them to work flexible hours."

And while you might be all about your new microfiber cloths, Toockies Multi-Purpose Scrub Cloths are better - not only does the tight weave pick up everything from dust to crumbs, you can use them scrub your dishes without leaving a scratch and they're soft enough to use on the most sensitive skin. Simply use them damp and so ahead and put them in the washer and dryer - they will last and last.

These natural cloths have no synthetic colour or dyes, so you can feel good about using them on your skin and dishes, unlike that plastic sponge you've been using all this time.

But perhaps the most beautiful aspect of these cloths is not just the work and care that goes into them or that they become your most beloved cleaning tool, it's that each bundle is signed by the artisan herself. My cloths were made by Sabina Yasmin Bibi. Thank you so much for your amazing work. I really do treasure these cloths.

I also am enamoured by my Loving Heart Pot Holder (pictured above). I think about all the women working away to make these products every time I use it and my kitchen and bath cloths.

I am amazed that Toockies can be offered at such a reasonable price - here you are getting multiple handcrafted cloths for what you'd pay for one single factory manufactured one that will last you only a few weeks if you're lucky.

Every time I use my Toockie, I think of the years of tradition that was preceded them. And that thankfully continues thanks to Anna Marie Stauss and the inspiring women who make them.

Shop Toockie now and carry on the tradition. Get a bunch for you, your friends and family. Once you try them, you won't be able to live without 'em.
