You'll Wonder How You Cooked Before PaperChef Parchment Products!10:05 am
I have long been a parchment paper lover. Because food doesn't stick like it does with aluminum foil and it makes clean up a dream.
But I've never used parchment paper like PaperChef before. What a difference quality makes!
Take their Culinary Parchment Multipurpose Paper, for example. Not only can you reduce the amount oils and fats you consume by using this paper, it keeps your food pristine because your food no longer sticks, burns, etc. as it would if you were using a unlined pan! You can also use it to line your plates so that when serving your guests, each tantalizing appetizer or dessert lifts off the platter with ease and grace. Ahhh, isn't that much better?
I am head over heels for PaperChef's Culinary Parchment Cooking Bags (pictured above). I cannot get over the ease of cooking that comes with using them. Not only do they make everything super clean and easy, but the flavours and textures that you get are fantastic! This french technique of “en papillote” is so easy thanks to these pre-formed bags - simply fill with your favourite ingredients (a recipe booklet is enclosed with each box and recipes can also be found online) and bake for an incredibly short time (dinner will be on the table in a snap, thanks to these wonders!).
I made the Turbot Fillet en Papillote with Cream of Lemon Sauce that came in the recipe booklet. I used whitefish instead of tubot and left out the cream, but otherwise, I followed the instructions. What resulted was beautiful moist, flaky fish with crisp vegetables, all in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do everything separately. Just think about how this will cut down on your time in front of the stove. I know - we both love to cook, but you don't always have the luxury of time on your side, especially during the work week. These bags are a fantastic solutions with fabulous results. I can't wait to try a bunch of different dishes using this method. Dinner prep just got fun again!
And if you ever bake, you're going to jump up and down with excitement over PaperChef's Parchment Baking Cups. Available for your convenience in 3 sizes - mini, large and extra large - these are the first baking cups I've ever seen that are non-stick. No more muffins that break off because they're stuck to the paper. I used the large cups to make chocolate cupcakes for my fella and we almost fell outta our chairs seeing how cleanly they peeled away from the liner. This is a complete game changer, folks. I mean, just think of all that you'll be able to do now that you don't have to worry about sticky paper - you can bake mini omelettes, meat loaves, anything that you'd normally bake, but in sweeter, smaller portions! Why would you use anything else?
