Truth or Dare by Madonna - Madonna Shocks Again With Her NEW Perfume

But not in the way that you might think.

For decades, Madonna has been daring us, even shocking us with constantly pushing against the norm and status quo (are you old enough to remember when Sex debuted?).

And with her first scent, Truth or Dare by Madonna, she continues to stand out from the crowd, but in the most unexpected way. What I thought was going to be a loud, brash and very dark scent is actually incredibly feminine and insanely pretty.  In fact, it's so lovely that every time I've worn it, I catch myself asking, "What is that lovely smell?... Oh, it's me." Over and over again all day long.

It's so beautiful in fact, that upon leaving a restaurant last night, a man holding the door open for me stopped, turned around and said, "You smell wonderful." So yet again, the amazing Madge has created something that deeply appeals to both men and women.

What's also surprising is how much scent means to her:

"I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me, but that other people could relate to as well. Something classical and timeless and yet modern."

What is most fascinating about the scent is how it straddles between familiar scents from long ago to a contemporary feel that is quite youthful, but doesn't embody any of that sickly sweetness that often accompanies a pop star's fragrance. And in fact, the top notes of gardenia, tuberose and neroli mixed with jasmine, benzoin tears and white lily petals mid notes, and finishing with vanilla absolute, amber and musk aura make for a very sophisticated perfume that is quite addictive. It's something that you wear day and/or night and it works for both, something that not every scent can claim.

Truth or Dare by Madonna is my favourite new scent. I just can't stop wearing it and it's easy to see why. It's warm and intoxicating, yet shockingly floral and alluring without ever being overwhelming. I even love the white bottle with milk glass-like beading along the edge, topped with gold. It's got that hint of religious to it that Madonna seems to always infuse into her work, yet is decidedly modern and sleek.
