Sometimes I actually fall in love with products.

Just like my fella, our turkey of a cat, waitresses and often meals, I fall in love with products and product lines.

And Aster+Sage is one of them.

Linda Yesline is the owner and designer and boy, does she do fantastic work!

No wonder. She studied industrial design at Rhode Island School of Design. You may not have heard of it, but it is a kickass school that produces some really incredibly designers. In fact, in my last years of high school, I wanted to go there for post secondary studies.

What’s really great about Linda’s creations is, not only are they beautiful to look at and so much fun to touch (they so lovely and squishy!) is that they are incredibly well-thought out for the woman on the go!

There are accessories that are general enough that you can stuff in what you need to have with you throughout the day and there are also specific holders for your makeup, cellphone, iPod, glasses and jewelry.

Each item is handmade and combines everyday practicality with modern, graphic design. They also have fantastic names, like Sharon, Tam and Angie.

Appliqued bags are available in Scarlet, Terra Cotta, Apple, Sapphire and Graphite and are 100% recycled polyester outer fabric (from soda bottles and fiber scraps!) and 54% recycled Sensuede applique.

The Maisy Accessory Bag (6.5” x 5.5”) is perfect for stashing in your purse or tote to keep all of your items together. The contents of mine vary, but today it holds my business cards, a little notebook and pen, lipgloss and some tissues. I got it in Apple, and you should see the gorgeous cotton floral lining of owls and flowers! The orange zipper is such fun and there is a “dog leash” style snap on strap so that you can carry it on your wrist or attach it to your tote or luggage for easy access!

The Angie Phone/iPod Bag (3.25” x 5”) is great too! I got one in Scarlet with cotton corduroy lining, which is such fun. It comes with a snap closure so your phone or mp3 player is not going to fall out and get lost at the bottom of your bag! Phew! It also comes with that snap on strap like above, so you can take it out and not have to worry about bringing your purse along – there’s an outside pocket allows you to stash keys, bank card or cash so that you can bring the essentials with you.

Ahh. Isn’t it nice when you have something that does it all?

And speaking of doing it all, the Elizabeth Jewelry Envelope (5.5” x 5”) truly is one of those timesaving devices that you’ve been looking for all of your life. And it’s soooo pretty!

Functional and beautiful? Uh huh!

Mine came in Terra cotta with lovely soft coloured dots and a creamy button with loop. Mmm!

This sweet little pouch has it all – a zippered main compartment, a few little interior pockets to keep jewelry separate, a buttoned flap conceals felt panels for securing pins and earrings and a retro dotted cotton floral lining that is so pretty, you’re going to want to open it every hour and have a peek (I do)!

I love that I can now take my jewelry with me – be it on a long trip or a short jaunt overnight – and have it be safe and free from tangles and hiding in the bottom of my purse.
