Found My Animal Leashes Are Not Only Beautiful, They Are For a Great Cause!

There are a lot of companies that offer accessories for your dog. Often they come in the form of rhinestone dog tags and pink camouflage hoodies for your little - or big - fella.

But one company not only makes the most beautiful, convertible leashes, they are making a difference with each leash sold.

Found My Animal makes “accessories for adopted dogs and their people” that are made with such care and are so beautiful, you may weep a little as I did when the package arrived.

By purchasing and using these gorgeous, handmade leashes, "you are helping to raise public awareness of the urgent need for animal adoption. Proceeds from each leash go directly to the Louis Animal Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to spaying/neutering and providing homes for animals who have not yet 'found' their people."

How can you not love that?!

Each rope is custom-made, hand-spliced and the ends "whipped" (an old nautical term) to withstand thousands of pounds of pull and tension.

Which is important when you have a big lug like my Rip (named after actor Rip Torn) who is part Great Dane, German Shepherd, Boxer, Rottweiler and Golden Retriever! But don't worry - he's not scary. He's just a big Marmaduke who will smother you with kisses!

Not only is the leash thick and incredibly beautiful and well-made, but there are a number of ways that you can hold it, making walking any dog easy and carefree, and if you want, leaving your hands free to carry bags! I love that there is finally a leash with options! It is also incredibly comfortable to hold (unlike most leashes) and has such a lovely weight without being heavy or cumbersome.

Each brass tag found on each leash is individually numbered, which serves "as a reminder of the uniqueness of your animal and allows us to keep track of the number of animals we have helped so far."

This is not only a phenomenal product, but it's a wonderful cause.

We adopted the Ripper and took him out of an abusive home and give him all the love we have.

I don’t know what we’d do without him.

If you would like to adopt someone, there is information at the Found My Animal Website.

And in the meantime, get the most beautiful leash in the world. You’ll never find one as lovely, or as meaningful, as this.

Come on, Rip. Time for a walk!
