Yeah, no stress there.
So I have scoured the shelves for products that are really unique and may be perfect for those who are hard to buy for on your shopping list.
It’s a crazy time of year and it’s about to get even crazier, so I hope this helps, at least a little (And don’t worry – I’ll be putting out gift guides until the very last moment to help you along. This is just the beginning)!
Best wishes and Happy Shopping!

They call them “simple, subtle, singular scents,” but DEMETER Fragrances are anything but simple! They create concoctions that smell EXACTLY like certain drinks, foods and forgotten memories. And it is a mighty powerful gift to be able to recall someone’s favourite smell – from Bamboo to Baby Powder, Earl Grey Tea to Gin and Tonic, Salt Air to Sawdust.
The only thing is – it makes my job describing them moot! As soon as I say what it the flavour is and you imagine what it could smell like, that’s what it smells like!
Just know that you don’t have to know too much about a person to know something that might compel them!
I love the Pure Soap, because for me, there’s nothing better than smelling clean! And for the holiday season, nothing could be more perfect than Egg Nog. With notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, it’s sure to complete the holiday experience!
And for those who lust after their childhood memories, Crayon is so bang on, that you might lose someone to the kiddie table at Christmas dinner!
DEMETER is one of those fun companies that will always deliver and delight. Go on and rediscover scents that are a part of your history. You won’t believe how accurate they are.
You can make a tee shirt for a good cause, but you want it to look good too, right?
Well, have I got the shirts for you.
Tees For Change makes t-shirts “to inspire you to live life with passion, purpose and positivity.”
Their positive messages such as “practice kindness,” “laugh often,” and “seek balance” are important reminders that life is not just about overflowing inboxes, the long commute or making your quota.
I got the “seek balance” one as it’s something I strive for daily, but rarely achieve. The t-shirt, though, with its capped sleeves and soft palm leaf green cotton is seriously hot. Hot looking, I mean. Founder Andrea Ayers has managed to create an incredibly sexy, yet environmentally-friendly shirt!
All of their tees “are fair trade and made under sweatshop-free conditions from 100% organic cotton or 70% bamboo/30% organic cotton. The cotton is cultivated without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, which is good for the environment and for the workers who grow and manufacture the shirts. Naturally sustainable bamboo is fast-growing and, because of its natural antibacterial properties, it needs no pesticides and is 100% biodegradeable. Our shirts are dyed using low impact eco-friendly dyes and are locally screenprinted.”
So finally there is a shirt that looks good AND makes you feel good!
There are 19 women’s designs, 3 men’s and some baby and toddler designs coming in the new year.
Go get yourself one now. Seriously. They’re fantastic.
Chocopods are cacao pod shaped dark chocolates that are filled with interesting and unusual fillings. Tropical passion fruit and caramel (Passion), crunchy spiced-up macadamia praline (Candela) or my absolute favourite, Picante - a unique blend of Cabernet wine caramel seasoned with pasilla chile and cayenne pepper.
6 dark chocolate filled bars are only $5.75, so it’s not only affordable, but it’s doable.
And if you know someone that loves spicy chocolates, get them the package of 3 bars of Spicy Maya that has Pasille chile, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. It’ll be just enough to get ‘em through the holidays!
