Sharon Bolton Scents, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Guerlain and Banana Republic Create Scents That You’ll Fall in Love With: Now, Forever and Always

Scent is such a personal thing, I know. Each person is drawn to certain aromas and then what you put on interacts with your own biochemistry, creating a unique perfume that only smells that way on you.

However, 2 new perfumes from style house Banana Republic have me convinced that their fresh, light fragrances are perfect for most women.

Alabaster and Jade are barely-there scents that evoke summers at the cottage and sinking your toes into soft, warm sand.

The bottles are beautiful palm-sized egg shapes that are flat on one side, allowing them to sit on your dresser slightly askew, which is such a nice change from the rectangular containers that crowd the shelves.

And one of my favourite companies, Sharon Bolton Scents has three scents in which to envelop yourself in via perfume oils, perfumed shower cream, perfumed body lotion and soy candles – Luv, Soul and Truth. These scents are as pure as their names and you will no doubt want all three.

My very favourite is Truth (though they all hold a special place for me). It smells like early Sunday morning when the air is crisp, the lawn has just been cut and the laundry is out on the line. Clean scents are what I like most of all, and that is Sharon Bolton Scents specialty. What a wonderful thing to find a scent that is everything you ever wanted.

If you don’t already have anything from L’Artisan Parfumeur, you’re going to have a hard time choosing from all of their delicious scents, perfumes, body creams and oils.

However, they make this a little easier for you but allowing you to choose from scent families like “fresh citrusy blends,” “under the fig tree,” and “Oriental elixirs,” for example. You can also shop by mood.

Now that’s smart.

I will try and help too, with my finds.

There are too many to list here, but I have to tell you – I’m addicted to L’Ete En Douce, which is both slightly musky and a little bit floral all at once.

The Jatamansi Body Cream, Oil and Eau De Toilette, is a spicy and warm fragrance, yet incredibly light. It is fun to layer the scents and change how much or how little you want to wear!

Completely unexpected scents like Tea for Two, Bois Farine and Timbuktu are wonderful for those evenings when you want to be noticed, when you want a little something extra. They are like accessories that you can try on a whim and soon you will find you’ll be coming back to them, time and again.

Guerlain’s new Eau de Toilette My Insolence is one of those scents that just evoke memories of delicious summer nights and warm spring days.

With notes of sparkling raspberry, jasmine and almond blossom and some patchouli, vanilla and tonka beans, the result is sheer femininity and joy.

And the bottle, with its swirling pinks and whites, is awfully pretty too.

It’s a beautiful scent in a beautiful bottle. It doesn’t get much better than that.
