It’s Not Too Early to Think About Fall Must Haves From Raw Bags, Sweater Stone, Nubar and Swatch!

It's not quite cold here today, but definitely cool.

Fall is not that far away and since the weather has put me in mind for the upcoming season, I thought I'd share with you a list of 4 essential accessories that I think are not only fun but are not the usual editor’s picks.

I hope you enjoy them!

Raw Bags

This Fall season, the must-have fashion accessory is the clutch.

But you don’t want any ol’ clutch. You don’t want something that everyone else is going to have.

You’re going to want the Newspaper Clutch and the Brown Bamboo Cube Clutch.

That’s right.

You’re going to want them both.

Along with their whole collection (you should see what they have!).

I mean, I know it sounds ridiculous to have more than a couple bags from one line, but I’m serious.

And not only are they gorgeous and big enough to hold ALL of your essentials for the evening, but they are recycled, so now you have an eco-friendly AND beautiful bag!

For instance, the Newspaper Clutch is made from 100% Chinese newspaper (don’t worry - it’s laminated so you won’t get newspaper smudge). And the Bamboo Cube Clutch is made from bamboo which is a sustainable material and as Bambu.com says, it “plays an important role in the reduction of timber consumption, environmental and forest protection, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development of rural economies.”

So don’t think of it as merely shopping. Think of it as helping the environment.

One clutch at a time.

Sweater Stone

Pilling and balling on your sweaters and knits will be a memory of the past, thanks to the Sweater Stone.

Its pumice-like appearance will gently remove pills and balls, while ensuring that it won’t further snag your garments.

This will not only improve your clothes’ appearance, but will help you save on dry cleaning bills!

The Sweater Stone can be used on all sorts of fabrics – natural and synthetic knits, suede, wool and cotton.

It can also be used on upholstery.

It is environmentally safe (even the container is recyclable!) and since 1986, the people at Sweater Stone have been employing the Sheltered Workshops in Seattle for all of the packaging, helping to suppers the Functionally Disabled.

The Sweater Stone might not look like much, but you will covet it along with your new gun metal gray trench and the new dark lip colours for fall!

Nubar

Nature’s Touch – the Fall Lacquer Collection by Nubar not only offers rich, coppery browns and sultry caramel nail colours, but they are formaldehyde free, tolune free and Phthalate (DBP) free, so you don’t have to worry about bad chemicals or odors.

The colours range from light Sandstone to the mid-range copper Firebrick to Brown Rose and for the really fashion savvy, Blackberry, a deep dark brown that just oozes city chic.

If you can’t afford new clothes just yet, update your nail colour. You’ll see what a difference it makes!

Swatch

I had a Swatch watch back in the Eighties when they were the watch to have. And apparently, they’ve never let up.

Just a couple of weeks ago, my friend had one on and went on and on how much she loved them and the next time I saw her, she had a different one on!

Dedication to Swatch watches is nothing new and with their new exciting Fall/Winter collection, you’re going to want one too!

In fact, it will probably spawn your own Swatch collection!

Gold is extremely hot right now, and what better way to accessorize than with a gold and cream watch? Swatch’s Seduce Moves Watch is an elegant way to check the time and the textured light beige strap makes it from being a plain and simple accessory to something that catches the eye.

Want something a little darker? Then the Glow Shine Watch is perfect. Its lustrous burgundy face and patent-leather strap look like they’ve been dipped in high-gloss nail polish and with it’s silver art deco accents, it is sure to wake up your look for Fall!

And although Swatch is famous for its watches, they have lovely accessories as well.

I particularly like the Night Mood Bracelet in Black which mixes the rock and roll look with a thick, textured black leather strap with the glam of Hollywood thanks to its silver and diamond-esque closure.

So if you think Swatches are old-school, think again.
