But I am trying to change that, by seeking out things that will make the holiday bearable.
Here's my way of making St. Patrick's Day this Saturday as cool as possible.
First thing - drop the green top hat. Not cool.
Unless you're Colin Farrell, Pharell or Maggie Gyllenhaal, there's no chance of pulling it off.
And now the drinks - NO GREEN BEER. There's way better drinks out there! Check it out:
Hpnotiq is one of my favourite new drinks. It's made of triple distilled vodka, fine cognac and tropical fruit juices and is very, very blue. They have created a very cool way to salute Green Day:
HPNOchaun
2 oz. Hpnotiq
1 oz. Green Crème de Menthe
1 oz. whipping cream
Instructions: Combine Hpnotiq, Green Crème de Menthe and whipping cream in a martini shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with St. Patty’s Day decoration.
