There is nothing that drives me crazy like washing my face at night and my stay put eyeliner not coming off and my eyes daubed with mascara residue so that I look like the Porter Airlines mascot.

The Black made my eyes seem bigger than they are (which is always what I'm striving for with these wee things), and I love how my eyelashes were thick and defined without looking at all garish, which they often do when coated with mascara.

The other difference with these items is that you don't have to spend anymore money on eye makeup removers. Just simply use a lot of warm water and gentle pressure and the tiny tubes will effortlessly slide off. No residue, no racoon eyes, no chemical cleansers.

Start With the Right Ingredient - Tasty, Healthy Kitchen Basics Stocks

Lately, I have been cooking like I've got a Food Network crew in the apartment 24/7.

I'm baking, chopping, slicing, searing. It's a little bit crazy, actually, but hey, if I'm going to have an addiction, I think cooking is a pretty safe one to have.

So I am fairly picky about the ingredients I use. Quality is of the utmost importance, because if you start with great products, you'll likely to end up with a pretty stunning meal (unless you forget about the roast in the oven and burn it or accidentally drop it while carrying it over to the cutting board. No reason).

I absolutely love Kitchen Basics Stocks. They are rich, flavourful and so handy in their tetra packs, so I can just grab them as I need them while at the stove. There is no need to add water and they keep for up to 10 days in the fridge, so you don't have to use it all at once like canned stocks. And I don't have to spend all weekend boiling chicken carcasses and skimming fat off the top of pots in order to make it from scratch - Nu uh.

And not to mention healthy. Just take a look at the ingredients of the Unsalted Chicken Stock. You'd be hard pressed to make it that healthy yourself at home and make it taste that good (really, your name would have to be something Oliver, Emeril something. I'm just saying).

Chicken Stock is a pantry must-have for me. I use it just about as often as I use fresh ground pepper (a lot). Vegetable Stock would be next in my canon. We have a lot of vegetarian friends and neighbours, so when I know they're coming for supper, I rely on this for the meal. Also, I use it for us when I want to balance the meat and vegetables for the evening. I use Beef Stock for making French Onion Soup, roasts, stews and other hearty dishes or when I want to give heft to a meal.

One of the greatest things about Kitchen Basics, is not just the quality and taste of their stocks, but they are the only company I've ever come across to offer unusual stocks that allows a cook like myself to really have the time of my life in the kitchen. As I get older, the more I appreciate fine quality items.

I have realized the joy of handmade pasta, well-crafted paper and let's be honest, a really good drink.

I am thrilled by the British-made Broker's Gin. Elancyl Paris - Beauty from Top to Bottom!

Some products claim to improve your skin's appearance, but I've really seen a huge difference after using products from Elancyl Paris.

It's rare that products targeted to reduce your cellulite really make a dent, uh, change in your skin. I mean it takes a long take for those bumps and lumps to go away.

Now I can see if my less seemed a little more toned with all this walking lately, but my arms? That's gotta be from the gel! And with me in the kitchen all the time, you've got to know that I'm going through a ton of "Counter Intelligence" Food Safe Surface Spray. It gets everything clean and gets rid of germs as well, all while being non-flammable and non-toxic, which means that if our cat gets snoopy around the counters, he won't get sick.

And at first I was wondering about the scent - Coriander? Hmm, I'm not sure about that. After all, if I'm going to be cooking, I don't want any food smells on top of what I'm making. But I should have known better. Murchison-Hume creates such high quality products that they wouldn't make a scent I wouldn't love.

And I looooove the Coriander scent! Now I'm cleaning up after I've just made a cuppa tea or warmed up some soup - just to take in that fresh and vibrant aroma. That's how you know it's amazing.

For my clothes, I'm keeping "Original" Garment Groom close at hand, so that I can refresh our clothes without having to schlep them off to the dry cleaners every few days. Which, with all the restaurants and book club functions, I've got going on, my dresses are taking quite the beating - there's the stain from the steak pepper kew from 2 weeks ago and I've worn that black number a couple of times now: it needs a little rejuvenation.

And for the jobs that require a little more cleaning than just a mere spritz, I'm using "Luxury" Laundry Soak.
