Grooming Lounge

Sometimes a product comes along that knocks your socks off.

It's completely unexpected and perhaps even a little bit of a shock, and this is why it stays with you for so long - you just can't believe it.

That's what happened when I "borrowed" my fella's shaving cream. I figured it was going to be just a quick fix for my stubbly legs, but instead it became my go-to cream every two or three days (I like to be smooth for my guy...).

Inkstone Design, Inc. Makes the Most Beautiful - and Informative - Playing Cards!

It's the long weekend here and one of the ways in which I like to unwind is to play cards with my handsome fella.

But never have I played with such beautiful and memorable cards as those from Inkstone Design, Inc.

These gorgeous cards come in themed packs, so they make a wonderful and thoughtful present that friends and family can enjoy for years to come.

Beautiful postcard images illustrate landmarks such as the Woolworth and RCA Buildings and the location, year it was completed, the architect and height are included in the Skyscraper deck. The Amusements deck takes you back to simpler times where the Venice Pier Coaster was set against a blue sky and where the Washington Park Zoo in Malwaukee offered elephant rides. The images are extraordinary and the places, whimsical. Keep a pen and paper nearby because these decks will inspire a long wish list of places to visit.

But my favourite are the Ginger Spice that are perfect for afternoon tea or after the dinner dishes have been cleared away. Mmm!

And just in time for Easter, the Easter-Shaped Cookies are a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday! These sugar cookies are not overly sweet and have the signature thinness and crispness that Salem Baking Co. is famous for! Their pastel colours and Easter-themed shapes will stand out amongst the drugstore chocolate bunnies that the rest of the world will be buying. I Am Getting Organized in the Kitchen, Thanks to Tatutina's Hand-Painted Goodies!

It's Spring Cleaning time and I am starting in the kitchen!

I have 2 areas that are in desperate need of not only organizing, but beautifying at the same time: 1. I have take-out menus that are varying sizes and for everything from Thai to Burgers and and 2. I have recipes that are outta control and need to be filed away.

Celebrate Spring with Mintika's Customizable Laptop Sleeves!

Okay, I am officially tired of all things black and wool.

It's been a long winter and I want to celebrate spring with pretty, colourful accessories. And I don't want my laptop to be left out, so I'm using Mintika's Customizable Laptop Sleeves to cart my baby around town!

The sleeves can be made to fit whatever laptop you have - from small Asus to large Mac - and you can choose whether you want handles or not, which is great, because different people will use them different ways.

They are constructed with a layer of 1/4" foam, a layer of fabric, and then a layer of clear vinyl with zipper closure (zips on three sides, so it lays flat when open). I love the clear vinyl so that you can wipe up any spills and protect your laptop from damage. It also keeps the fabric looking pristine and fresh, so you don't have to worry about it wearing out or snagging on something in your bag (how many times has that happened).

You can also choose to get a strap -briefcase (15") or shoulder (25" -this goes over one shoulder like a purse, not across your body like a messenger bag) and even use your own fabric if you like - how completely personalized!

Between Me and You Keepsake Journals Are a Gift That Lasts a Lifetime!
