And they`ll even let you name it.
Design a Tea is all about having fun with your tea and indulging in what you like most in terms of flavours and strengths (You can read the story of how it all began here).
How it works is that you choose a base tea, pick one or two of your favourite flavours and voila – you`ve got your own custom blend!
The base teas are Black, Oolong, Green and Rooibos. The flavours you get to choose from are amazing! Just think of all the possibilities with these: Amaretto, Apple, Anise, Banana, Blueberry, Caramel, Cassis, Cinnamon, Chestnut, Chocolate, Cider, Coconut, Coffee, Cranberry, Creme de Menthe, Ginger, Hazelnut, Honey, Irish Creme, Lemon, Mango, Maple, Margarita, Mocha, Nutmeg, Orange, Passion Fruit, Peach, Pear, Pecan, Peppermint, Pina Colada, Pineapple, Pumpkin, Raspberry, Rum, Spice, Strawberry, Tangerine, Vanilla, Wintergreen and Zabaglion.
You can choose from loose tea or bags and even customize your tea with a message! I got the knack and writerscramp teas, which are great fun for when company comes over and also for business and promotions, even personalized gifts! I got everything from Black Tea, Spice Anise, Chai, Herbal, Rooibos Chai and many more. Isn't that a fabulous idea?!
And before you start wondering if this is going to cost you an arm and a leg, please don`t worry. At Design a Tea it is incredibly affordable and you are probably going to pay less than what you are currently paying for that box of grocery store tea! Really!
And they even use recycled paper products, labels and inks. They use Fair Trade certified international growers and suppliers when they can as well as organically grown teas and ingredients. Does your box of Tetley or Salada do all of that for about $5?
And if you don`t want to choose your own blends, Design a Tea has created some custom blends for you to choose from, which are incredibly fun and vibrant teas. Again, they come in both loose tea and bags, so you can really get what works for you and your lifestyle!
I tried the Chai, which is rich and flavourful and has such a full body, you can have it any time of day. Their blend of chai is one of the best I've ever had – peppery and spicy, without being too strong on the palate.
Cozy Autumn has cinnamon and spice and doesn`t just have to be enjoying during the fall. In fact, this tea is perfect midafternoon when I need a little pick me up. It uses an organic black tea from Sri Lanka, so it`s full of antioxidants and tastes rich, yet incredibly clean.
And Island Blend is such fun! A green tea blend called Sencha Fine from Japan is used and blended with all-natural vanilla & mango flavours, giving you a warm melange of exotic flavours. It is such a nice change of pace from the rest of the teas in my cupboard and is incredibly soothing in the way chamomile or rosehip are.
